Physical Education

Sports Premium
In April 2013, the Government announced new funding of £450 million to develop physical education (PE) and sport over the next 3 years. The funding should be used to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision.
Schools are free to determine how best to use this funding  to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision, including increasing the participation in PE and sport so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are capable of.
Please see how Brookdale Primary school have used the funding in the document below.

We are lucky enough to have many resouces available to us so that we can deliver the curriculum and in addition to this, encourage active lifestyles during and after the school day.

We believe at Brookdale that it is important for the children to be involved in competitive sports. This is an area that is developing at the school and we hope to continue to develop competition and healthy lifestyles further. We encourage every child to do their best in competitive sports; that's all we ask!  Every year each class takes part in school sports day, as well as the children getting involved we encourage our parents to get involved in the day too which makes it even more enjoyable!
Sports Personality of the year
